Overview
This is a 30 team Roto league with a h2h playoffs. This league has many features similar to other 30 team proboard/Fantrax leagues. This league is designed to be low maintenance for the commissioner, but I am an active and engaged commissioner.
Getting Started
To get started please do the following:
Check to see if any teams are still available
Read the rules
Post the name of the team you would like to claim under the initial available teams thread. Please also follow the instructions to post your experience in 30 team dynasty leagues.
Respond to the accept rules thread that you accept the rules.
Create a team page under the appropriate division.
Edit your user name to reflect your franchise and whatever first name/handle you go by, e.g. Padres(Scott).
Post your contact info in the appropriate thread.
Additional Info
It is understandable that life happens and we find ourselves with limited time on our hands. However, if you are not committed beyond the initial draft then I ask that you not take a team. Drafting is fun, but we want committed owners and not draft and ditch owners. As this is a free(outside of Fantrax dues) and fun league, the preference is for active owners. If you know you are the type that just doesn’t like to trade or engage in trade discussions, it would be preferrable that you don’t take a team. I don’t expect to be an activity Nazi, but if you show up once a month for five minutes, you will be replaced. The ideal GM checks in at least once a day when life isn’t too busy and a couple times a week when life is pretty busy.
If you are early to the league and the rules aren’t fully developed, here is a high level review that should give you enough info to decide if you are interested or not.
2 Divisions - NL/AL with traditional team names
Roto Regular Season - 6 x 6
Top 3 teams in each division guaranteed playoffs with the 4th team in each division decided by Roto points during the last 30 days... a hot team is getting in. Roto rankings are division only and not combined.
H2H playoffs through Fantrax but may be hand calculated from Fantrax.
60 team rosters
Initial draft will be a slow draft 50 rounds with any player signed to a real life organization - minors or majors. Trades allowed for initial draft and can include drafted players. However, the same number of total players/picks sent must equal the total number of players/picks received.
Future drafts will be 6 rounds and consist of players signed to an org but not yet accumulating a ML stat. Draft order determined by reverse standings with the worst 10 teams having a random even odds lottery. Draft picks will be tradable the week of draft only.
Prospects move to protected prospects after 50/150 and contract is as folllows: .5/.5/.5/1/3/5. The year 50/150 is met is the first .5 year.
In season FA is SB for under 50/150 and contract for over
There will be RFA/FFA/Flex tags
No prospect bidding, outside of ML debuts in season, which is done in part to improve the value of the 6 round FYPD draft.
There will be a 4 panel trade review team plus commish.
