With the caveat that we don't talk about players not yet drafted, I thought this would be a fun discussion.
I was stuck in a meeting at work and started thinking about where I want my FA's, Nelson Cruz and Charlie Morton, to sign. Here is what I am hoping for.
Nelson Cruz signs for a 2 year deal, $15M per year, for $30M total with the Houston Astros. They may (or may not) need a DH, so he would be an upgrade over a lot of the guys they had playing DH this year.
Charlie Morton signs a 3 year deal, $10M per year, for $30M total with the Philadelphia Phillies. Morton's wife's family is in Delaware, so apparently he has a desire to move back to the area. But I also have my doubts, as the Phillies need a Left Handed pitcher. So I guess we shall see.
Any other thoughts? Where are you hoping your FA's (already drafted) will sign?

I cant see Machado landing in too many spots, it's probably between the Phillies and Yankees. Therefore, as a Red Sox fan, I'm hoping he signs for Philly. Less than $30m AAV over a lot of years with it heavily backloaded (mainly after year six) and a few opt outs will be the best outcome. Expecting it to be more along the lines of $35m AAV quite evenly split though. $35m is where I've based my estimate on his salary for 2019 that I'm working off while drafting anyway.

Hmm, I have three free agents, so here is what I think
Mike Moustakas - maybe back to the Royals, also read the Phils might go after him, obviously if they don't land Machado - I wouldn't mind seeing him back on the Royals where he was comfortable - maybe 3 years @ $13 mil
Daniel Murphy - as a Mets fan it pains be, but I think he might be a good fit on the Yankees. With that short right field porch, his left handed pull and their stacked line up, I could see him doing well. Maybe 2 years @ $10 - Although I would rather see him back with the Mets or back with the Cubs and take the fantasy hit.
Andrew McCutchen - no idea, just hope it is a full time gig - maybe Seattle to take Cruz's spot?

McCutchen seems headed back to The Bronx. He is a pretty solid 4th OF for NY.
Daniel Murphy is unlikely headed to The Bronx; he is a horrible fielder.
We see Moustakas most likely headed to Philadelphia, though maybe as a long shot back to Kansas City.
Machado seems headed to Philadelphia, as they have a ton of play money lying around. Yanks are solid option, though we as a Yankees fan, hope he goes to Phillie. Machado is a punk; he hasn't got the character for New York.
The big question is where Bryce Harper goes. Our guess is just a guess: LAD, where ComCast prints Dodgers Dollars.
Who did we leave out? Morton and Cruz. Meh... we have no idea.
