There is a Trade Block Board under the Trading board. Please feel free to use this board to communicate team needs and trade candidates to the rest of the League.
Major League Players, Minor League Players, Prospects, and Tags can all be traded. Salary cap ($) cannot be traded. Tags must be defined (Franchise, Restricted, or Flex) and attached to a player with an expiring contract. That tag then MUST be used on that player. Trades of players + tag acquired from other teams MUST include said tag (they are inseperable after the initial trade). First Year Player Draft (FYPD) picks can be traded after the end of our Restricted Free Agent Auctions, no sooner than that.
Any trade negotiations that conclude in an agreement must be posted to the Trade Agreements thread and proposed on Fantrax. All terms of the trade must be listed. It is required that one team involved in the trade post the agreement and terms, while the other team formally posts their confirmation of the trade as listed. Please also list a brief rationale for why you are making the trade - this helps in the event a trade gets reviewed by the commissioner and/or Transactions Review Panel (TRP).
Please review the terms carefully. Once the trade is formally accepted, the rest of the league has an opportunity to voice any disapproval they may feel, the commissioner’s office will then review it and either approve or reject the trade within 48 hours if the trade is made in season. Off season trades will have a 72 hour review period. Once the deal has been approved, there will be no recourse and the deal is finalized. If the trade is rejected each team will have 48 hours to renegotiate. Players involved in any trade that is rejected may not be traded elsewhere within that 48 hour window.
Whether signing a free agent, waiving a player to free agency or trading with another franchise, GM's will have 48 hours to update their franchise's roster. This will avoid confusion as to which players belong to which franchises. If rosters are not updated in a timely manner, the GM will be prohibited from engaging in free agent contract offers or trades with other teams for a period of one week.
As with free agent bidding, make sure you plan ahead!
If the GM exceeds his roster limit of 65 players and/or exceeds the salary cap during the season (or if he exceeds either offseason limitation), there will be a 72 hour remedy period. Until the illegality is remedied, the newly acquired players will not be added to your roster. Failure to remedy the illegality within 72 hours will result in suspension of scoring and all free agent bidding.
Remedies includes ONLY...
1.) waiving of players to meet the 65 man roster limit and/or meet salary cap limitation
or
2.) having posted and confirmed trade(s) that allow the team to fully adhere to a 65 man roster and salary cap limits.
Transactions Review Panel (TRP)
This league will have a 4 person transactions review panel. The TRP would be involved in trade voting, questionable transactions, and general advisory to the commissioner.
Trade Vote Process
This league will consider trade votes to be somewhat rare. Trades can be brought to a TRP vote through one of three possible ways. 1) Multiple non TRP GM's bring their concern to the commissioner via PM. 2) A TRP member calls for a vote. 3) The commissioner calls for a vote.
In order for a trade to be veto'd it must get 3 votes to veto from the TRP. If the TRP comes to 2 veto votes, the Commissioner will be the deciding vote.
