The initial draft will start on Oct 1st. We will kick off the 1st round with a 24 hour clock. Pick 1.1 will be OTC at 12:01 AM Eastern Oct 1st. The next 24 hour clock starts immediately upon the previous selection being posted or the previous clock being expired. So, if pick 1.1 is made on 10/1 at 3:05am, pick 1.2 is otc until 10/2 at 3:05am or until the pick is made, whichever comes first.
Please note, at anytime after the 1st round, the clock pick period could be adjusted to a lesser time period, such as 12 hours, 8 hours, etc.
Make your lists and be prepared. 50 rounds and includes both minors and majors.

I don't care all that much, but out of curiosity, why is the draft starting on 10/1 if 9/24 won the vote?

I don't care all that much, but out of curiosity, why is the draft starting on 10/1 if 9/24 won the vote? Under the post “draft order set and trading open”, I posted this: Draft Expectations: A poll will be posted shortly to serve only as advice for me to pick when the draft will officially start. I can not accommodate EVERYONE. I will try to take reasonable requests under consideration. Read more: thesplendidsplinter.proboards.com/thread/80/draft-order-set-trading-open#ixzz5QQMzpmjwIt was intended to see if there were any large scale issues or if reasonable accommodation should be made. There were good arguments made to wait till after the end of the regular season, so I found it reasonable to start right after the EOS.

Reminder that the draft starts tomorrow. Both major league and minor leaguers are available. Please see rules for contract clarification. You must post the contract of the player when selecting. The clock will start at 24 hours for the first round and may be adjusted after the first round.
We have a few GM's that have not checked in for several weeks. I will be pausing the draft in the first round if any team misses their pick. I.e. you are not allowed to skip anyone in the first round. If I have to pause the draft in the first round, I will be looking to replace the GM as quickly as possible and resume the draft. If I can not find a replacement within 24-48 hours, the TRP will select a player on behalf of the franchise while we continue to locate a replacement GM.

For round 3 we will continue to use 24 hour clocks. I just ask that if you have back to back picks you don’t use 48 hours.
We use cots for contracts. We only count the salary for each year. From the contracts homepage you select the team and then can see each players contract details

Round 6 will continue with 24 hour clocks. However, anyone having consecutive picks will not be granted additional clock beyond the first pick. If the first pick is made 1 hour in, the next pick will have 23 hours remaining.

Pace update:
Our current pace would have us finish at the end of January. I do anticipate that the pace may not maintain, especially since we will take a few days break at Thanksgiving and a week or so around Xmas/New Years, which would take us closer to the end of Feb with a moderate slow down. Things are going as expected, but should that change at anytime the clock may be adjusted to 12 hours. For now, it remains 24.
Great Job!

Pace is still a little ahead. However, it is likely to slow a bit as we move into later rounds. Round 10 will remain a 24 hour clock.
Starting in Round 11, we will have 12 hour pick windows. If you have back to back picks, I will be allowing up to 24 hours of total clock time. However, If you have 3 or more consecutive picks 24 hours total is still the max for the totality of those picks, so plan accordingly.

Starting with Round 26 we will go to 8 hour clocks with no clock from 1am to 5am eastern. An announcement about winter holiday downtime will come in a couple weeks.
